Catherine Russell is an internationally acclaimed American jazz and blues singer who has been described as “the foremost vocal interpreter of vintage jazz and R&B songs” (Allen Morrison in Jazz Times). Her jazz repertoire extends from the 1920s in The Great American Songbook onwards – through Tin Pan Alley music and musical songs for Broadway and Hollywood – and as an explorer of music she often chooses gems that are a little less well-known.
With swing and heart, blues and a fantastic voice, Catherine Russell is one of the greatest interpreters of the American songbook.
