This Year’s Authors:
Amanda Svensson
Amanda Svensson is an author, cultural writer, and translator. She made her debut with the acclaimed Hey Dolly, followed by the August Prize-nominated Välkommen till den här världen and Allt det där jag sa till dig var sant. In 2019, she was awarded the Per Olov Enquist Prize and the Svenska Dagbladet Literature Prize for her novel Ett system så magnifikt att det bländar. Her latest book, Själens telegraf, was published in 2023. Amanda lives outside Malmö.

Folke Schimanski
Folke Schimanski is a journalist and author who has worked extensively in radio, as well as with Sida and the UN. He was born in Berlin and came to Sweden as an expatriate in 1945 with the White Buses. His latest book, the well-received Veras resa, tells the story of his upbringing and family, particularly his sister, "the Nazi queen," Vera Oredsson. Among his earlier works are Mat – en krigisk historia and Berlin – en historisk stad. Folke resides in western Skåne.

Catharina Ingelman-Sundberg
Catharina Ingelman-Sundberg is known for her historical novels set during the Viking Age and the Middle Ages. She is perhaps even better known for her humorous feel-good novels about the Pensionärsligan (The Pensioners' League), which have been translated into twenty-nine languages and published in forty countries. Her latest historical novel, Landet som försvann, about the Atlantis of the North Sea, will be presented for the first time at this year's Book Day, just before its release in September.

Mikael Bergstrand
Mikael Bergstrand now lives in Rörum with his family. He gained widespread recognition with his India trilogy about Göran and Yogi, starting with Delhis vackraste händer, largely based on his own experiences in India, where he lived for several years. The book was also adapted into a TV series starring Björn Kjellman. Mikael's stories, known for their blend of humor and seriousness, have topped sales charts in both Sweden and abroad.
