The Jazz Festival’s second Charlottenlund concert has the beautiful terrace as its stage. There, with the castle as a backdrop, Ystad-based Big Blowin’ Band and Karin Tingne will perform. The big band of classical style, with a feel for Count Basie and Woody Herman, meets the singer with a strong foundation in soul, gospel and rhythm & blues. They made their last appearance together at Ystads Teater in 2023. The joint repertoire has since been expanded with a number of new arrangements specially written for Karin Tingne.

Karin Tingne is one of southern Sweden’s leading soul and gospel singers, in demand both as a guest soloist and studio musician. She has also made many acclaimed appearances with her ten-piece band Karin Tingne Band, which plays blues rock and soul. In 2024, the band’s album “Over You” was released.
