Big Blowin' Band visits Simrishamn!

"Swingtime in springtime" Big Blowin' Band welcomes you to meet spring at Valfisken in central Simrishamn. The big band offers classical big band jazz. Many new arrangements have been rehearsed and everyone is eager to play. Our ciceron Harald Leander holds the strings during the evening and with us we have our fine singers Sara Städe and Ola Dahlqvist. Ola Denward leads the band.
Big Blowin' Band, the big band from Ystad has existed for over 40 years and has collaborated with many big names in jazz. In recent years Karin Tingne, Isabella Lundgren, Peter Asplund, Vivian Buczek, Meta Roos, Kjell Öhman, Filip Jers and others can be mentioned. With Svante Thuresson, the band did an acclaimed performance in 2015 at Ystads Teater, with interpretations of Beppe Wolger's texts and songs. The performance rendered 5 whistle blowers in Ystads Allehanda.
