The legacy

The exhibition depicts the experiences of Swedish Finns with language, identity and belonging. Through portraits, quotes and powerful stories, you will meet people who grew up with Finnish roots in Sweden and who generously share their lives, thoughts and heritage.

The exhibition is based on over thirty interviews with people from different parts of Swedish Finnish society – from well-known cultural figures to everyday voices – and highlights stories that are rarely heard, but that deserve a place in the public sphere.
