Archives Day

Every year, Archives Day is celebrated on the second Saturday in November. This year's theme for the day is Nature and Outdoor Life. The Skåne Archives Association is working on an ongoing project to create memory boxes and archive bags for the elderly and for schoolchildren, in collaboration with associations within the national minorities. These bags are being developed for use in elderly care and in primary and secondary schools. But the Sami minority has developed the material "Around a Fire", which is on display at Tomelilla Library during Archives Day. There is also the opportunity to see and take part in the work on the other national minorities' bags that are currently under development.
