Archives Day

This year's common Nordic theme is nature and outdoor life. We have chosen to highlight the importance of maps in the archive. With the help of historical maps, we can more easily understand how society has developed and follow the change in the landscape over time. Welcome to the fabulous world of historical maps! Österlen's Family and Folklife Research Association is on site to help with genealogy research.

Highlights for the day:

11 a.m. tour of the archive.

1 p.m. lecture by Ewa Runesdotter, family and property researcher. Ewa shows and talks about the old parcel maps and their documents. There is a lot of exciting information to be read in these.

In collaboration with Österlen's Family and Folklife Research Association and the Association for the Conservation of Ancient Monuments and Heritage in Southeastern Skåne.

Coffee at cost price. Pre-registration required, limited number of places. Register via the museum's website: https://www.simrishamn.se/
