AKVA - About a girl's journey across the sea
A girl has a message that she must take to the other side of the ocean, but does she dare to venture out into the depths of the waves all alone? Who knows what lurks at the bottom of the ocean?
AKVA is an innovative musical theater in a swimming pool environment that combines music, storytelling, light and sound installations.
The story follows a lonely girl's struggle to have her voice heard. She sails across the Atlantic in a boat in the name of the environmental movement and encounters obstacles such as sea creatures, the Cyclops, the nymph Calypso and the sorceress Kirke, who enchants the sea and fills it with pigs.
Parts of the audience sit at the edge of the pool with their feet in the water, which symbolizes the sea, and become part of the story. Through creative actions, they are involved in different moments during the journey and are allowed to move and interact with the music and the story.
