“Citizen Nûjen”

In the stand-up performance “Citizen Nûjen”, Özz Nûjen tackles the question of what it really means to be a citizen in today's Sweden. What are our rights and what are our obligations? And what does it mean to be a citizen in a country where rights are questioned and where citizenship is no longer as obvious to everyone?
The show is his third solo show after the acclaimed “Bad Mood” and “Prime Minister Özz Nûjen”. Starting in September, Citizen Nûjen will tour over 100 locations until the 2026 election.
With his unique combination of infectious humor and sharp political satire, Özz tackles the political situation ahead of the upcoming Swedish election. He examines whether election promises have been broken, examines which politicians have made promises but kept them thin, and does not hesitate to point out the parties' betrayal of their own voters. No one is spared from his sharp gaze – all parliamentary parties can count on their fair share of Özz's whipping humor.
