Österlen's rivers, trouts and Öradekaren
Today we will see if we can see some migrating salmon fish in Verkeån. A high water level is needed in both the sea and the river. At the same time, we take the opportunity to hear Hans-Olof Höglund talk about the current state of the waterways in south-eastern Scania. Hans-Olof is the nature conservation association's representative in the water council for Österlen's rivers.
At Öradekaren, we can see the historic fishing gear next to the bypass that was made for the river to function in a natural way for aquatic animals and plants. Furthermore, it is good to take a look into Lindgren's länga, where the Haväng Museum Association has a nice exhibition about the river and the surrounding landscape.
Bring coffee in your backpack, binoculars and anything else you want to take with you on a trip.
