Österlen Lights up

For the eighteenth year in a row, candles are lit, marshals and a series of activities are arranged around Österlen and the surrounding area. About 200 program points in about 50 villages during the All Saints' Day weekend on November 3-5.

This year it is Kåseberga with Ale's stones that is the City of Lights of the Year and the inauguration takes place in accordance with tradition on Friday evening. With an inspiring harbor and Ales Stenar, one of Sweden's largest visitor destinations, the City of Lights of the Year offers spectacular conditions for the inauguration of this year's Österlen Lyser. The fantastic environment creates opportunities for extraordinary events. The whole of Kåseberga is bathed in the light of hundreds of marshals, illuminated trees, burning fire baskets, light plays, lit sails, etc.

18.00 Gathering at the car park and distribution of torches.
18.15 We start the hike towards Ales Stenar via
The Cossack path where we experience a magical and exciting sound and light play.
18.45 Ales Stenar bathes in a magical light!
19.15 Tomelilla Rock Choir offers captivating music and singing in the harbour.
19.45 Favilla puts us in a trance with his fiery show
at the harbor plan.

Kåseberga's restaurants are open all evening and offer exciting food, the businesses in the harbor as well as the one on Kasevägen are also open as is Bykrogen where it is PUB night.
