Serenade

The young, award-winning Monbijou Quartet was formed barely two years ago, and in this short time has established itself as one of today's hottest classical ensembles. Just six months after the quartet was formed, in an apartment on Monbijougatan in Malmö, they won Sweden's largest chamber music competition Ung och Lovande, and in the autumn they will go on the extensive tour that is the first prize in the competition. But before that, the Monbijou Quartet visits the concert barn at Ribbingsberg with a real dream program; sunny Valencia by Caroline Shaw, Schubert's poetic and dramatic Der Tod und das Mädchen and Wilhelm Stenhammar's lovely Serenade.
