Music moments in Östra Herrestad's church

In connection with the weekend mass ringing in Östra Herrestad's church at 18.00 Saturdays in July you have the opportunity to visit a unique church that is otherwise closed. With origins from the 12th century and unique wall paintings from the late Middle Ages, it is a gem among Österlen's churches and an inspiring environment for a musical experience. In connection with the ringing, the village team arranges musical moments that last just over half an hour.

On July 1, the MSO violinist and National Musician Britt Forsströmson will present a program that has its origins in folk music, which has also influenced classical music. She has her roots in Blekinge, which is also noticeable in the song selection that she talks about during the program.
