Maja Francis
Maja Francis has been part of the Swedish music scene since the release of the debut single "Last Days Of Dancing" in 2015. The years that followed were collaborations with, among others, Veronica Maggio and no less than three EP releases.
The debut album "A Pink Soft Mess" (RMV Grammofon) was only released in 2021 and with it Maja Francis positioned herself as one of the most unique voices of our generation - with a pen that dares to challenge and touch deeply. The album, which was produced together with Johannes Runemark and David Wikberg, has in 2022 been nominated for the Grammys, P3 Gold, the Manifest Gala, the Nordic Music Award and received unanimous glowing criticism from the Swedish and international press.
The album includes the First Aid Kit collaboration "Mama", which was also interpreted by Albin Lee Meldau in the premiere program of Så Mycket Bättre. The song "Anxious Angel", the album's second single, has also received a lot of attention as the end song in the Netflix series "Love & Anarchy".
Maja Francis has so far shared the So Much Better interpretations "Douchebag" (original by Molly Hammar) and "Please Remember Me" (original by Lasse Stefanz) and with them also showed off her fantastic peculiar musical universe, with one foot in Scandinavian pop and the other in country.
