Lund's student singers' spring concert!
Lund's Student Singers spring concert! Lund's Student Singers invite you to a traditional spring concert, this time at Ystad Teater, with classic spring songs mixed with works by, among others, August Söderman and Claude Debussy.
The repertoire ranges from quiet peace to wild hysteria, from simple elegance to complex polyphony, all under the confident leadership of the choir's leader Christian Schultze.
The choir is also guested by tenor soloist Theodor Uggla, who after several years in both London and Amsterdam has now returned to the Swedish opera scene.
ABOUT THE CHOIR
Lund's Studentsångare is a men's choir that was founded in 1831 and that, despite its long history, has been able to maintain its will to develop. Today, the choir counts around fifty tenors and basses with different backgrounds, education and employment. Since 2020, the choir is led by Christian Schultze. In addition to its activities in Lund, the choir gives concerts both nationally and internationally. The choir visited Colombia at the end of August and adds this destination to several others such as Finland, Ukraine, Norway, USA, China and Australia.
The choir is best known for its concerts on the steps of the university building on May Day. A sure sign of spring that, through SVT's live broadcast, has made its way straight into the Swedish public home.
