Artist Leif Eriksson was a central figure in Swedish conceptual art. Now, Ystad Art Museum presents I REGRET EVERYTHING! (Leif Eriksson 1939—2019), the largest exhibition of Eriksson's art to date.

Provocations, humor, and challenges to artistic authenticity were recurring themes in Eriksson's oeuvre. Through his publishing house Wedgepress & Cheese and his work with the extensive archive The Swedish Archive of Artists’ Books (SAAB), Leif Eriksson became one of the pioneers of the art form known as artists' books, handmade books by artists.

It was in the 1970s that Eriksson firmly established himself on the Swedish art scene with graphic works where he commented on the economic interests of the art market through appropriations and irony. For Leif Eriksson, art was in many ways free, and no one could claim sole ownership of it. Many of his works are a questioning negotiation of copyright.
