Bird watching at Kivik and Torupa flood

Now, as the migratory birds head south, we're scouting for them at two locations in the northern part of the municipality. First, we visit Kivik and observe at the reed area just south of the harbor. Here, there's a small bird hide similar to the one at Revet in Simrishamn. We're scouting for various waterfowl, and maybe we'll even be lucky enough to spot the colorful kingfisher?

Then, we head to Torupa floodplain – an inland location a few kilometers northwest of Kivik. Here, you often find several species of wading birds side by side with grebes and various ducks. Perhaps a marsh harrier will fly by? Those who haven't had enough after this can continue to Haväng or Vitemölla.

BRING handheld binoculars and/or spotting scope, as well as snacks.
