Bothwell - Prisoner of Malmö
Year 1569. A cell in Malmöhus. Its owner is James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Scottish Bothwell. With the help of Ylva, the jailer's daughter, Bothwell tells the story of his life, his love for Scotland and Mary Queen of Scots. It is a story of power, intrigue and greed.
Here we get to know the story of James Hepburn, Malmöhus' most famous inmate. Entertaining, and sometimes hard to believe, his story of battles, manipulation, prisons and queens has been dusted off and brought to life by author Torquil MacLeod (The Malmö Mysteries), author Susan MacLeod and Front Row Theater founder, author and playwright Fraser James MacLeod, in this exciting play!
The performance is given in the castle's main hall and lasts about two hours, including a break.
