Bengt Håbro - Variations
An installation inspired by nature's shifts, cycles and movements. In his mobiles, Bengt Håbro lets color take physical form in the room. The color fragments float freely, yet in harmony with the surrounding space. As weightless bodies, they constantly relate to each other, to the room and to the viewer.
Bengt Håbro (born 1951), educated at the Gerlesborg School and the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm 1979-84, has nature as his starting point and inspiration. Water set in motion. A leaf's journey from bud to crisp autumn leaf. Traces of coincidence or dissolution. Phenomena like these are the model for his leaf-thin creations, cut out of aluminum, floating freely in the room. Håbro began his artistic career as a painter. Today, color and form have left the canvas and assumed three-dimensional forms in the room.
