Meadow meadows

We gather in one of Österlen's old magical apple orchards where there are still really old ones
apple tree. The area is one of three trial areas in the Leader project New life in Österlen's old
apple groves. We will rake, embed the old trees with hay and maybe cut with a scythe. For it
those interested in technology are shown a motor-manual mowing beam and a battery clearing saw that can be used in
the mowing work, while the children are offered guidance in tree climbing. Under the expert guidance of Helena
Edman and Fabian Mebus, we will experience apple cultivation and discuss biodiversity,
pruning of old trees and maintenance of meadow land.
Please BRING a rake, pitchfork and scythe if you have one. We offer a vegetarian lunch, but bring your own
coffee basket!

(or via) Simrishamn and Björn will direct you to where we meet. Limited number of participants.
