Travelling to Ystad & Österlen

The nearest airports are Kristianstad Österlen Airport, where Sparrow Aviation operates and from here you can go by bus No. 3, Skane Traffic, to Simrishamn. The other is Malmö Airport (with flights operated by Malmö Aviation and SAS). SJ provides rail services from Hässleholm, Lund and Malmö, for onward travel towards the southeast via Skånetrafiken or by car, which is an ideal means of transport here in southeast Sweden. You can also travel from Copenhagen and onwards to Helsingør via the Öresundstågen train service, which departs from Malmö every 20 minutes, throughout the day. Direct trains are also available between Copenhagen and other locations in Skåne, such as Ystad, Lund, Helsingborg and Kristianstad.

There are ferry connections from Bornholm to Ystad Faergen. Ferry Service to Poland. In the current situation, we have two lines that traffic the route Ystad - Swinousjscie. www.polferries.se ,  and www.unityline.se. Both run 2 trips/day, a night and a day trip. Ystad Tourist Office can help you with reservations by Unity Line.
